    I was not happy without this in writing so the consultant asked me to leave it with her and she would check. She then advised that if we cancelled it would cost us 50% of the holiday price.

    The consultant then called back and advised that she had spoken with her Manager and that they couldn't guarantee that we would be allowed on board so suggested we book a different holiday and that the 50% fee would not apply as long as we provided written medical confirmation that my wife was pregnant and was past 24 weeks. She then advised that she would look at some alternatives and suggested we come in today and go through them with her Manager.

    When we arrived at the store today and NO alternatives were ready for us to look at and we were expected to sit there for another hour and go through the same process we went through months ago. It seemed that there had been no consideration taken to try and resolve the situation and we were just expected to see what they could find with such short notice.

    Abousutely unprofessional and a waste of time to talk to your consultant. At first I asked if she can price match, she checked on the computer told me that's the price she can do in the first place, then I gave her the passport and all the informations she need. Me and my 7 months old bub waited 45 mins in the heat( please adjust your airco) then she told me $380 for each person to apply for a Chinese holiday visa, after I told her it is only 109 in Chinese ambassy website, no more than $150 including postage, and I got told you charge $30 for application how it come to $380, after that she decide does not want to sell me the ticket, she made an excuse said she need price match on the price I got on the same day not the day before. I totally understand if that's your policy, but not after wasting my 45 mins. Your price match policy is just a joke and $380 for a Chinese holiday visa?? Absolutely ridiculous!

    When I phoned yesterday I was told that it "would be fine" and to "just risk it" with boarding the ship. This was after I read the online handbook for the ship and it seemed that my wife would not be able to travel as she was past 24 weeks pregnant. I asked the consultant if she could check and was told she would confirm with P&O.

    We came into the store 3 months ago and informed the consultant that my wife was 3 months pregnant at the time and the consultant advised that the cruise we intended to book would be fine. She did not check with P&O nor make any further enquiries as to the restrictions for the cruise.

    As you can appreciate we are finding it quite difficult to now find a holiday with such short notice and the cost is obviously much more than would have been if we had booked 3 months ago. I run a small business and have gone to great lengths to take this time off work. We have arranged our 6 year old son to be looked after and my wife has taken time off her work for these dates. None of this can be changed with such short notice.

    We waited while Michelle looked for an option and then were told that it would cost us more money than we had already paid and that was the price. Utterly dismayed with the lack of service my 6 month pregnant wife broke down in tears and had to leave. Only after we asked for a refund was it offered and then it seemed that we were only going to get a portion of what we have paid you back.
